Indie Author
Hi! I’m Caitlin Alva, author of Amara’s Vow, a fantasy romance full of danger, destiny, and slow-burn tension.
I grew up in Southern California, where my love for stories started early—probably around the same time I figured out how to hold a pencil. I started writing in fourth grade, and by high school, I had finished my first “book.” It wasn’t perfect (okay, it was a mess), but it lit a fire in me that never went out.
These days, I live in Oklahoma, where I spend most of my time building new worlds, dreaming up complicated characters, and getting far too emotionally attached to fictional people. My favorite piece of literature is A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, but I inhale anything fantasy or paranormal romance. If it has magic, monsters, or a brooding love interest, I’m in.
When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading something I can’t put down, plotting new stories, or pretending that endless brainstorming counts as productivity.

Amara's Vow
When legendary mercenary, Amara, is hired to kill a young princess, she makes a fateful choice—save her instead. On the run with a pack of wolf-shifters and hunted by a corrupt king, Amara escapes to the dreaded island of Insulae Mortis.
But the island holds secrets far deeper than legend. As lost memories and buried powers rise, Amara must face a legacy she never knew—and a destiny she can’t outrun.
Torn between two worlds, she must decide what she's willing to sacrifice to protect those she loves.
A tale of magic, rebellion, and a mercenary forging her own fate.
