James Coyle
A storyteller since he was a kid, James reconnected with his passion for writing after nearly being killed in a motorcycle crash.
Recognizing the event for the life changing opportunity that it was, he took the insurance from the crash, quit his office job, and started writing. Now, he lives with his wife and two dogs in Columbus, Ohio, where he enjoys hiking through all the local parks and driving his car (since he promised his wife he was done with motorcycles). A lover of fun, character driven adventures, James always strives to write novels that transcend worlds and time periods in order to bring deeply personal stories to his readers.

I’m Brittany Hymes, author, creator, and founder of Indies & Ink.
I started writing my first trilogy at seventeen, scribbling scenes in the margins of my notebooks, full of passion and absolutely no idea what I was doing. For years, those stories stayed hidden in drawers, buried under self-doubt and the looming shadow of traditional publishing. I thought I needed permission to be “worthy.” Spoiler: I didn’t.
At twenty-six, with the unwavering support of my biggest cheerleader (my husband), I took the leap into indie publishing. It wasn’t easy. Fear of rejection, imposter syndrome, and the steep learning curve of self-promotion came fast, but I discovered freedom in forging my own path. When I finally published my first book, everything changed. Readers connected. The story mattered. But I still had dreams that felt out of reach. I wanted a place to sell my book that wasn’t just Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I wanted to offer custom merch, connect with readers who loved indie stories, and find a space that truly celebrated self-published voices. That’s when a new dream took shape: building a platform where other indie authors could do the same.
Indies & Ink was born from that vision, a place to share your stories, sell your books, create meaningful merch, and be part of a community that truly gets it.
