I’m Brittany Hymes, author, creator, and founder of Indies & Ink.
I started writing my first trilogy at seventeen, scribbling scenes in the margins of my notebooks, full of passion and absolutely no idea what I was doing. For years, those stories stayed hidden in drawers, buried under self-doubt and the looming shadow of traditional publishing. I thought I needed permission to be “worthy.” Spoiler: I didn’t.
At twenty-six, with the unwavering support of my biggest cheerleader (my husband), I took the leap into indie publishing. It wasn’t easy. Fear of rejection, imposter syndrome, and the steep learning curve of self-promotion came fast, but I discovered freedom in forging my own path. When I finally published my first book, everything changed. Readers connected. The story mattered. But I still had dreams that felt out of reach. I wanted a place to sell my book that wasn’t just Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I wanted to offer custom merch, connect with readers who loved indie stories, and find a space that truly celebrated self-published voices. That’s when a new dream took shape: building a platform where other indie authors could do the same.
Indies & Ink was born from that vision, a place to share your stories, sell your books, create meaningful merch, and be part of a community that truly gets it.

Liliana Provencial is a newly-published poet and short story author as of January 2026, but has been writing since she was 15 years old. Outside of her writing ambitions, she also owns 2 small businesses, has a degree in digital marketing, is a mom to her bright and bubbly toddler, and is a military spouse. When she’s not working, she loves getting together with her girlfriends and hosting monthly girl dinners, or shopping for her next designer purse.

Erica Rogulski lives in South Carolina with her two dogs, Gracie and Tigger. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading a variety of genres including the spicy, and unhinged ones. She is a video gamer, Tomb Raider and Resident Evil being her favorite. Her preferred holiday is Halloween as she enjoys rewatching the classic shows Casper and Halloweentown, along with attending spooky events such a fright night.
